Building Permits
The Cumberland County Codes Department began operation on January 1, 2024. The Cumberland County Codes Department has the primary responsibility for issuing building permits and inspecting residential and commercial properties. The department plays an integral role in helping maintain the quality of construction in Cumberland County, while assisting builders and the general public with the building codes and other regulations to the mutual benefit of both.
The City of Crossville Codes Department performed inspections for residential and commercial properties outside the Crossville city limits prior to January 1, 2024. If you need to discuss issues concerning codes in the City of Crossville, or permits issued outside the Crossville city limits before January 1, 2024, click here.
